HEAR FROM THE TEAM

Abi – Team Member

Why do you love serving on youth?

I never had Christians around me growing up and so my passion is to give the youth of our city what I never had – a Jesus centred community of faith, which brings life and hope to the teenagers of Hull and beyond.

What kind of things do you do?

We meet every Friday evening and Sunday morning at church.

Friday nights are a mixture of Bible studies, worship and prayer, as well as hearing testimonies and having socials where the table tennis and pool table come out. It’s so fun!

We also meet on a Sunday where we worship together with the adults and then head to the youth room to delve into the Bible!

Why do you think it’s important?

I am passionate about seeing young people’s lives transformed through knowing and loving Jesus.

Too large a percentage of people lose their faith in their teens and as a team, we want to change that in this generation.

We want to build the foundations for them to say yes to following Jesus for the rest of their lives.
