Creating space for children to worship and discover God.
Kids at Hull Vineyard are a priority for us. Our prayer is that they would grow up secure in their identity as a loved child of God.
We seek to provide opportunities each week for them to connect with God and with each other, to grow in their faith and love for Jesus and to be outward looking as they pray for each other and for our world.
HEAR FROM THE TEAM
Sophie – Team Leader
What does a typical morning in Kids’ Church look like?
Full of life. Full of activity as well as quieter times, full of singing, dancing, stories and playing. It is full of opportunities to share God’s love.
We are blessed to have lots of children that join us across three age groups. I’m a part of the team with the 1-3’s group. We arrive an hour before the children to set up, have a team chat, a drink and pray together.
Each age group has a plan for the session which is facilitated by a leader and the team. Everyone joins in.
What do you love most about being part of the Kids’ team?
I’ve been on the team for several years now. Initially I was unsure as I didn’t think it was really my thing, but God has grown my heart for this ministry and I am thankful for the experience of being part of the team.
I love that children make faith simple. Whatever you’ve had going on before the session, seeing Jesus through their eyes can be a helpful reminder of seeing Jesus in your own life.
It is wonderful to see the freedom in worship and prayer that children demonstrate. Be prepared for prayer requests that may make you laugh or your heart melt!
I love seeing each child be who God has uniquely created them to be.
When you see children helping each other, praying, dancing and resting in God’s presence in their own way, it is so beautiful.
It is joyful when we hear stories of something a child has said or done during the week that is related to something they’ve done in a session at church.
Why is serving in Kids’ Church so important?
I believe that we are investing in a child’s early experience of church and what it looks like to know Jesus, and they will carry that with them as they grow. We are planting seeds for the future.
We are creating another safe space for them, outside of their immediate family, to get to know Jesus and to see other adults modelling what it is like to follow Him.
It is a wonderful opportunity to get to know the children that are a part of our church family, and to bless them.
Each Sunday morning you can check your kids into one of our fantastic groups at our dedicated check-in area.
