Hull Vineyard Church

30 for 30

Day Twentynine

Stop

Our Father in Heaven, Hallowed be your name. This morning let’s spend the first few moments of our devotional hallowing the name of God. Tell Him how much you love Him, and tell Him what you love about Him.

Look

Read Matthew 28. Ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you. You may want to make notes, underline in your bible or journal all that God is saying.

Thought of the day

Matthew 28: 5-6 But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay.

Jesus has risen.

Three words which changed the face of human history.

Jesus is alive.

The resurrection of Jesus proves true everything Jesus said and did here on earth. The resurrection rubber stamps the crucifixion with a confirmation. The resurrection shows that Jesus is alive today, available for us and wants to encounter us. The resurrection proves that death has been beaten, and this life is not all there is – there is an eternal hope for all who trust in Him.

Jesus is alive today. Do you know Him?

Pray

Today, spend some time thanking Jesus for his death and resurrection. Thank Him for the cross, for dying for you, and for all that occurred in the resurrection.

Live

Spend some time thinking about Heaven. We don’t consider eternity enough. One day we will go and be with the risen, living, conquering Jesus. Bring this to mind over the course of your day and immerse yourself in this wonderful truth.
